What is Monitor, and why does it need Business?

Monitor is our AI monitoring chat. You ask a question in plain English — "which councils are re-letting highways maintenance?" — and it searches every meeting transcript we hold, then answers with citations you can open. Because it searches across all councils at once, it only makes sense on a plan that covers all councils, so it is a Business add-on at £199/month, or £2,149 a year. That price is per account, not per seat: a team of five pays £199, the same as one person. Your token allowance grows instead — 20M a month, plus 4M for every additional seat.

How is the API priced?

From £1,000/month on an annual commitment, and that price includes a Business plan so your team keeps the web app alongside the integration. Additional seats are £100/month, the same as any Business account. You get the full corpus — transcripts, insights, entities, stakeholders, notices and semantic search — with no restrictions on which areas you can query. Talk to us and we will set you up with a free sandbox key first, scoped to a couple of councils so you can build against real data before committing.

Why is the API more expensive than the plans?

Because it is a different product. Our data is not a re-published public feed — we source the meetings, transcribe the audio and derive the insight ourselves, across 64,000 transcribed meetings. Programmatic access to that corpus is a data licence, not a seat.

What do I get on the free plan?

One council of your choosing — the full text and full history of every meeting, unlimited AI-extracted insights and entities for that council, transcript search, and the weekly recap email. No credit card required. It also includes the PPN 002 social value generator, with five statements a day. Reserved for paid plans: alert rules and alert emails, AI transcript chat, the pipeline builder, council briefing PDF export, search and filters on the insights and entities lists, and monitoring more than one council.

How do committees count against my plan?

A parliamentary committee costs the same as a council. Pro covers ten things you watch in total, and the split is yours — ten councils, or eight councils and two select committees. Business is unlimited on both. Free covers one council and does not include parliament.

Can I add seats for my team?

Yes. Every plan includes one seat, and you can add more from your account settings at £50/seat/month on Pro and £100/seat/month on Business — up to 10 seats on Pro and unlimited on Business. How does annual billing work?

Annual billing saves 10% compared to monthly and is charged once a year upfront. Add-ons follow the same billing period as your plan. You can switch back to monthly at the end of your annual term.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

Yes, at any time from your account settings. Changes take effect at the next billing cycle. Downgrading below Business ends the Monitor add-on at the same time, since it depends on all-council coverage.
