“[Speaker: Phil Berrington] Well, if I make the comparison of Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight with the Welsh ambulance service, the Welsh ambulance service I think is in a better starting position from the perspective of me starting as chair than Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight. The reason I make that comment is that the Good Governance Institute has recently undertaken a review of the Welsh ambulance service and has already indicated that, in their assessment, the board is a good board but has the potential to be an exceptional board. To my mind, there's a connection between the ability of the board to operate and the operational performance.”
